5th Vienna Energy Security Dialogue (VESD)
Coping with Tensions
In its fifth edition, the Vienna Energy Security Dialogue will be dedicated to tackling current energy security challenges from commercial, political and socioeconomic perspectives resulting from the global energy crisis and the war in Ukraine. Jointly organized by the OSCE and the World Energy Council Austria, the Dialogue has emerged as a leading international forum to gather decision makers from companies, politics, academia and civil society to discuss opportunities and challenges of the energy transition.
This year´s edition features one high-level session and three expert panels on:
- the future of oil and gas
- the green energy revolution
- humanising the energy transition
The event will be held in English.
Audience: The event will be open to the delegations of OSCE participating States and Partners for Co-operation, the OSCE executive structures, including field operations, as well as members and partners of the World Energy Council, Ernst & Young and the Federation of Austrian Industries. Representatives of international organizations, expert academics, business representatives and non-governmental organizations with relevant expertise are also invited to this event.
